khamis lepas ak xde kls sbb lec system computer ak baik sgnt.. die kasi ktorg cuti padahal die yg beriya2 nak cuti haha.. well anyway, pagi khamis tu ak trus bwk kete ak g service coz ptgnyer ak, ira, ipit, rai & nad nak g ROAD TRIP...BESTTTT!! gmane?.. memula plan g nilai 3 nak bli barang khawin ira nthen g melaka jalan2 g kota A famosa, naik eye on mesia, pastu g AFamosa wet world...itu adalah kemuncak road trip hehe... best main air... hari sabtu baru balik utm..tu pon tgh malam bru smpai...

Ktorg bertolak dari UTM hari khamis dlm kul 3ptg cmtu la. Sampai nilai dlm kul 7 camtu..tu pon ujan jadi ak bawak kete slow jek haha.kalau tny dorg ora slow cmne ak bwk, msti dorg gelak haha.. pastu satu hal lagi ipit asyik2 laa...

lepas makan mandi tgk tv pe smue ktorg masuk tdo..tu pon xtdo trus..p borak2 lg pasal cadar kahwin yg mane lawa(tgk catelogue ape ntah) pastu citer pasal baju kahwin color pe lawa haha.. smue eksaited nak fikir color baju kahwin masing2...

Pagi esokny kul 9 ktorg bertolak g Nilai 3....nak bli barang2 kahwin ira... nah tgk la sndri gbr2..ak mls nk citer..haha

Lame gak la kat nilai 3..byk gila ira borong haha..ye la kan nak kahwin..terpaksa panggil Acileh (Pakwe ipit) singgah nilai otw balik Selangor nak bwk smue barang tu hehe..thanks acileh..

Pastu seingt ak dlm kul 1pm la baru ktorg belah dari situ otw g Melaka.. Singgah jap kat R&R Seremban nk solat n makan pe smue..mmg melantak kfc la haha.tu pun kelaparan semua..hoho

Dalam kul 3-4 kot baru ktorg sampai Melaka.. Trus cari Hotel tmpt tgl.. tapi...............perghhhh smue ske tgk citer korea 'FullHouse' haha..byk la hotel2 budget yg dah penuh..nak2 yg tgh2 bandar tuh.. byk gila org dtg Melaka nk bercuti..jalan raya pun jam cam cipan.. lame gak ktorg pusing2 melaka semata2 nk cari hotel..sampai kat hotel tuh, hotel ape ntah Hash Hotel x clap..ade kosong 1 bilik jek tgl.. queen bed ckup la ntk ktorg..rm120 semlm xclap..ktorg dah nak rembat ni coz dah penat pusing2..dah kul 7pm dah..pastu bole otw nak runding2 tuh org lain dahhhh rembat dlu huhuhu..bukan rezeki ktorg...

Pastu dlm kul 8pm kot baru la jmpe hotel Grand City ni.. 1 bilik..1 queen bed + 1 single.. rm155..memula rm135 tp die dah naikkn sbb byk permintaan cetttt!..ok la...tmpt merempat semlm jek...tu pon memula org kt kaunter tuh xkasi ktorg 5-5 dlm 1 bilik tp ak ckp ktorg student jek..tak mampu nk sewa 2 bilik haha..jd die kasi jek janji bos die taktau..

Rileks la kejap kat hotel tul..dlm kul 9pm ktorg kuar..jln2 cr makan :)..

Cuti cuti cuti..

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Hi all. sorry I havent been updating frequently. like I said in the previous entry, I havent been able to get on9 that much. currently I'm having my semester break, in Putrajaya. and now I'm at Alamanda's Old town white coffe just for the sake of updating this blog.lol. no la, actually also for the sake of loging into my fb account which i havent been able to view for quite awhile.

My sem break actually starts on the 17th of nov but becoz of some family matters I havent been able to go back straight to bintulu.huuhu.. My dad had a stroke on sunday the same week. he was in johor baharu with my mum and my sis, so all of us had to stay back at jb to take care of him. he was admitted to sultanah aminah hospital bcoz of the stroke but luckly it was just a minor stroke. currently he's unable to walk properly, still needs support to walk. the minor stroke had affected his right brain so all of his right side body was weaken by it.

on the following tuesday he was much better thus me & my siblings decided to moved him to Putrajaya's hospital. It would be much nearer to my 2nd bro's my my sis house. all of us convoy to putrajaya with 3 cars. arrived at putrajaya late at night since we took off a lil late. it was quite tiring but still good to see my dad was much better. when we arrived at putrajay's hosp the doc told us that it was not necessary for him to be hospitalized. he was much better.

Now he still suffer from dizziness, he could walk properly if only the diziness is gone.Lets us just pray for him so that he'll be much better.

Anyway, besides taking care of my dad I'm also have been doing some reading. the one thing that I've wanted to do long time ago since october when the book came out. know which book i'm talking about?? hehe. of course la THE LOST SYMBOL. it took me awhile to get my hands on it. tthe book cost about rm100(hardback) so i was waiting for the paperback to be release but up untill now, the paperback is nowhere to be found so i just had to spend rm100 huhu...

well, i havent finish it yet..but to tell you the truth..up untill now..huhu... I'm quite disapointed with the book.. not quite as interesting as the previous da vinci code. The lost symbol is more about the masonic organization. actually before i read the lost symbol, i got my hands on a book about freemanson from islamic point of view. and during my time reading the lost symbol i was quite proud of my self coz I got to know so much about freemanson even b4 i read the lost symbol.hehe.

another agenda in my things to do for this sem break is to learn more on ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE & C++ programming. hopefully I'll get to finish my PIC coding huhu. wish me luck.

Final Year

It has been awhile since I last post an entry here.huhu. I've been quite busy lately with my thesis and assigments and tests..and bla bla bla...

That is my FYP supervisor, P.M Harun Ismail..
He's a very nice person. and talks quite slow with soft tones. I'm so thankful to have him as my FYP supervisor actually. He didnt attend my FYP presentation. He mentioned that HE NEVER attend any FYP presentation. so at first i was quite scared that nobody is going to be there to back me up when the panels bombarded me with questions.
After the presentation, me & my other friends who is under PM harun Ismail, had a meeting with PM Harun. some of my friends had their FYP rejected and some had to alter certain part of their FYP. but PM Harun rest assured us that WE WILL NOT FAILED FYP. its impossible for us to fail FYP unless we dont do A SINGLE thing!! hehe I love my supervisor!

He said that, even if our circuit doesnt work. we wont fail FYP!

This week, I did my FYP presentation infront of 5 panels. The panels were...

My final year project title is Toxic Gas release alarm system using PIC microcontroller.
Basically it uses PIC (one chip computer) and a carbon monoxide sensor to detects presence of carbon monoxide and alarm people.

Everything went very well.
Right after I presented my work, En Fauzan said that he likes my FY project. and they accepted it. they didnt ask much questions except that the panels were wondering how am I going to demonstrate it without causing dizziness or headache (bcoz of CO effect) to the panels. So I told them I'll try to use car air-cond or a ciggarate (spelling?lol). for sure I'm not gonna bring a liquified CO into the demo (FYP2) room to demonstrate it. and plus its not easy to be able to obtain CO.
owh well, if you guys have a better idea, let me know.

I wont be updating this blog regularly coz my college wireless connection is too weak. I HATE K9 wireless!!
but I'll try my best to go to fke lab comp and update this blog now & then..

The Devil Wears Prada ~ Lauren Weisberger

Once it made to the new york times best seller, the book will straight away goes into my list of 'Must-Read' books. And sadly enough the first time I read the book which was 2 years ago (me think!), I only managed to read until chapter 5 before I went to sleep and decided this book made it into my list of 'Boring-Intro-am-too-lazy-too-continue-reading-it' books.

Well, I guess i didnt give it sometime to sink in.

Then, 2 months ago I was so bored that I'm out of books to read (lol). So I went to my book collections rack to look for something to re-read. Owh maybe a Harry Potter series? or Dan Browns? or maybe The Lord of the Rings? owh and there are also Sophie Kinsella's works.. just pick one!! (I said to myself).. And my arm decided to reach for 'The Devil Wears Prada'....
It wont kill me if I give it another try (again..talking to my self.. should I go see a shrink?lol)

IT IS BRILLIANT... I CANT BELIEVE THAT I DIDNT ENJOY THIS BOOK BEfORE!!!

Like always, before I comment on it, I'd like to make a brief synopsis on it.

SYNOPSIS

The main character in the book is Andrea Sachs who's a fresh graduate from Brown University (a member of the Ivy League..for some who doesnt know..and whats Ivy League you ask? I got one word for ya 'wikipedia') with a degree in english. She's eager to land a job as an editor for the 'New Yorkers' magazine but Hoping to to get closer to her dream job at "The New Yorker" she applies for a job at a fashion magazine. She gets the job of being the personal assistant of the editor of the magazine, one of the most powerful women in fashion. Her job is a nightmare. Between making phone calls and getting coffee she has to do odd jobs like arranging to fly a book on a jet plane for her boss' daughters and driving locating people in other countries within minutes.The fashion world is a crazy place. Knowing that this job can help her future she puts up with anything her boss tells her to do. Besides, "it''s a job a million girls would die for".

What made this as a very fascinating story is that this is actually a real-truth-already-happened story. it happened to the author of coz. well atleast 50% of it is real.

What I like the most about the book is EDUARDO!!!.. LOL
Eduardo is a security guard at the Elias-Clark building (the building where the Runways n other magazines r) , who often playfully makes Andrea or anyone else unfortunate enough to work as one of Miranda's personal assistants sing or otherwise put on some sort of act before he lets them enter the building.

Quote from book....

“Yo, tell me what you want, what you really, really want,”he (eduardo) sang with his huge, toothy smile and Spanish accent. And all the pleasure of making the cabbie happy and finding out that I had arrived ahead of Miranda vanished. I was left, as I was every morning, wanting to reach across the security counter and tear the flesh from Eduardo’s face. But since I was such a good sport and he was one of my only friends in the place, I weakly acquiesced.“I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want, I wanna—I wanna—I wanna—I wanna—I really, really, really wanna zigga zig aaaaaahhhh,” I sang meekly in a pitiful tribute to the Spice Girls’ nineties hit. She also happened to be balancing a small tray with three Starbucks coffees, an overflowing bag of newspapers and magazines, three hangers with complete outfits dangling from each one, and a duffel monogrammed with the initials “MP.” Her cell phone began to ring just as I realized what was happening, and she looked so panicked I thought she might cry on the spot.

But when her repeated banging against the turnstile failed to elicit entry, she sighed deeply and sang,

When I looked back to Eduardo, he smiled quickly in my direction and winked. And then, while the pretty brunette girl finished singing her verse, he buzzed me through like I was someone who mattered.

The Devil Wears Prada is a very enjoyable book. you should read it. owh and dont just watch the Movie coz believe me the movie is a disappointment.huhu. NO EDUARDO!!!

Week 6...final week in urea/offsite section

my urea/offsite supervisor..Mr Hafiz, Executive Engineer in Urea/Offsite section.

this is my training supervisor, Mr Igat Das, Electrical Executive Trainer. very friendly people, both of the executives.

Azman n Ng Che Wei...nice guys.. tho che wei teases me alot.. owh on last friday, che wei n I went to the shipping substation along with Mr Azhar, Mr Hafiz n Mr Adri.. the executives went by pickup along with a vendor n me & che wei went using bicycle. I havent been riding a bike for quite sometime now and was not too confident to ride Mr Bahrin's bike bcoz it was quite high (the seat) but it turn out ok, I havent forgot how to use a bicycle after all.haha.and IT WAS ALOT Of fUNNNN TOO!!

while in the hilux. one special thing about working in the urea section is that we have a transport to go here and there. since our job involve the offsite area and carring heavy motors, thus a pickup/hilux is needed for our daily work.. other sections just use bicycle to go around the plant area. every staff has one.

r..while in the workshop. thats En Ghani (Urea/Offsite) & En Razak(workshop section). En Ghani is very generous with his knowledge and a very experienced technician.

inside the BUS (bulk urea storage).. it was like walking on a snow pile. except that the BUS condition is as hot as if we were in an oven ready to be cooked.lol that huge thing is called the reclaimer.

if u can see there is a ladder attached to the reclaimer.. it is used for us to go inside the urea area.. when I went down the ladder and still have 2 more steps to go, I stoopidly decided to skip both and just jump to the urea pile and poor me I lost control when I land on the urea, so I land on my butt haha.. and when Chei Wei (one of the technicians in urea sect, the naughty one) saw me he just laugh, laugh and laugh..and so was I..lol

joining the Urea section have been so much fun. I'm going to miss everyone in the urea section. but I'm looking forward to join the ammonia/utility sect next week.
and i'm quite nervous for next week coz my lecturer is coming for a visit on wednesday. wish me luck hehe hope that he will not ask me so many questions la..hoho

next week I should be under Ammonia/Utility with Miss fadhila, but currently shes going to the petronas games, so Mr Adri Thauriq will be my supervisor ;)

Week 5 of my Industrial Training..

I was really looking forward for my week 5 of my industrial training cause this week I'll be working in the urea & offsite section. The last 2 weeks in generation section was great but urea is going to be soooo much fun. why? (u ask) cause this section involve offsite works and that means I'm going to visit the shiploading site at port (outside abf)!!

I was going to take some pictures of the shiploader and the ship that carries the urea to other countries but (huhu) it is not allowed to take photos there. owh well.. maybe next week i'll just quietly snap some with my phone ^_^.

::really excited mode:: OWH, I SHOULD MENTION THAT THE SHIP WAS SOOO HUGE AND WHILE I WAS WALKING UPSTAIRS THE SHIPLOADER I WAS JUST AMAZED TO SEE HOW HUGE THE SHIP WAS AND IT WAS LIKE WALKING ON SNOW (UREA WERE ALL OVER THE SHIPLOADER).. :).. AND THE SHIPLOADER WAS SOO OILY AROUND THE RAIL I WAS AfRAID THAT I WAS GOING TO SLIP :p BUT fEROZ (ONE Of THE TECHNICIANS) ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT I WENT fIRST BEfORE HIM. PROBABLY HE'D BE ABLE TO CATCH ME If I WAS TO SLIP.. nice guys they r, the technicians. eventho they always tease me :)



last friday we (electrical section) should have had our safety briefing & knowledge sharingin the afternoon but instead everyone in the maintenance area (electrical, instrumentation & mechanical) had to go to the auditorium for API briefing (abf performance improvement).

and guess what, before the briefing starts we had to sing Petronas official song.lol. I had no idea Petronas have an official song but thank god they put the lyrics in the montage that they play while we sing the song.

on wednesday I had to do Mr Hafiz job which is to lead the morning meeting before we starts our work everyday. Mr Hafiz is the Executive Engineer for Urea/Offsite section and he's one of my supervisors. I had to replace him cause he had to go to kuantan for petronas Electrical forum.
At first, the thought of replacing him was scary for me cause I had no idea how I (a trainee) can lead this team of knowledgeable & experienced technicians!!. but thank God, the technicians and kak fadhila (my other supervisor) helped me alot with the section planned jobs, issues etc.hehe.

On wednesday we did an overhaul job for a motor (during meeting they keep saying "we had to overhaul 28-p002.." .. "the project sect wouldnt shut down 28-p002.." and I was like "what the hell is '28-p002'.." haha.. but ofcourse I didnt say that out loud.. I only found out it was a motor just after we went to the cooling tower near the CCR.. we talk using unit numbers here instead of saying 'motor' lol)

by now, we still havent put back the motor into the plant area coz the motor seal was damaged and no replacement yet.huhu. we also damaged the cooling fan but they just glued it together lol.

this urea/offsite section is the sect that had the most jobs compare to other sect. and this week we really had trouble with the BUS (Bulk Urea Storage) area coz the tripper car in BUS 1 is not working for some reason and we had to find the culprit. (well actually most of the engineers in electrical think its prob is with the PLC so it really is not our prob, its the instrumen prob hoho).

yippie, mr hafiz will be back next week..

I do believe in the terms never ever give up.. try and try again.. and ever since UTM changed the grade point average code (2nd year, 1st sem), it has been quite hard for me to grab a spot in the Dean's List.

And today, Alhamdulillah I'm on the list again!.. Alhamdulillah.

Before this I got it twice during my 1st year and after that, eversince I got my 'kancil' (lol.. ternyata, padah akibat terlalu rajin merayau rayau dgn konco2ku lol) I've never got into the dean's list.. up until now. I am soooooooooooooooo thankful to Allah swt.

I got a message from Ham this morning, telling that the result is out. At first I was so lazy to get on9 and view my result cause i had a feeling that I'm just going to get another 3.33 (LOL).. you know, after seeing my senarai tampal a month before, i seriously didnt think I'm going to make it into the dean's list haha. but of course that didnt stop me from praying to Allah swt and still hoping I'll make it. tawakal jak la. I've struggled hard during studyweek and i'm not just gonna give up now. I've been sleepless during study week, and i believe that its not going to be a waste. I've been too far and I'm not just going to give up now.
And Alhamdulillah, my sleepless night, my struggle, all the caffeine that I've consumed (lol) was worth it.

What I would like to share here is that, Never Give Up. Try as hard as u can. if the 1st sem of 2nd yr u didnt make it, try again. if the 2nd sem of 2nd year also resulted the same, try again. if in the 1st sem of the 3rd year u didnt make it again, never give up! again work harder, struggle harder, doubled ur effort!. never stop praying to Allah swt for it. InsyAllah you WILL make it.

Cant wait to tell my parents, if it werent for them praying along for me & giving me everything to help me with my studies. I wouldnt have make it this far. Have to start fasting now, gotta repay my nazar.

Sam Bourne : The Righteous Men - Not bad, but not 'that' great either

Salam.

I thought of writing a review on this book ages ago but haven’t got the time to do so. So here I am, as free as a bird (? lol).

Well, well, well, this is the 2^nd Sam Bourne’s work that I’ve read and I must give him some credit (before I trash him a bit lol) for this book. The Righteous Men. It is definitely not as bad as ‘The Last Testament’ which is another one of his works. You can read my review on The Last Testament HERE.

Synopsis

Before further comments on the book, I’d like to give some insight to every1 who hasn’t read the book yet on how the story develops.

The Main character, William Monroe Jr is a New York Times journalist, around 20 ish, and is married to his wife Beth, who is described to be very beautiful. And so as Will, described to be very attractive. (so typical of all novel huhu). As a journalist, Will is always looking for stories to write and somehow he stumble into the mysterious murders of men, all of whom turn out to be 'Robin Hood' type characters - outwardly wicked, but secretly performing acts which show them to be truely righteous men - when, suddenly he got an email saying that his wife is kidnapped. The kidnapper didn’t want any money or anything they just wanted to borrow Beth for awhile. And Will was told not to involved the police or his wife will be killed. he has no clue as to who has kidnapped her or why. Will was determined to find out!

Suddenly, he is dragged into a very different world as the clues lead him to what appears to be an orthodox Jewish sect. He is fighting for his life - his and that of his wife and friends - and is on the run from the police, who suspect him of murder.

Through out the journey, he got some help from his two friends, Tom, will’s bestfriend and who is a computer genius. And also T.C (stands for Tova Chaya.. you will only found out that towards the end of the book..its a Jewish name), TC is a great help for Will since she is like a freakin genius who knows EVERYTHING and EVERY KNOWLEDGE in the world but yet she doesn’t know the difference between pop music and hip hop. You might have pictureD TC as being a geeky girl wearing a spec and everything but NAAAAH you’re wrong! She’s the type of girl who dies her hair blue and pierced her belly button and she’s an artist (painter not singer la). Owh forget to mention, she was William’s ex. There’s a conflict! haha.

The Review

Like I said, not bad... but.. well, okay I hate to compare it with TDVC (The Da Vincci Code) but I HAVE TO! LOL (why? Coz The Mirror claimed Sam Bourne to be ‘The biggest challenger to Dan Brown's crown !’ and I’ve spend money and time on the book bcoz of this OVERATED comment, hence I HAVE TO COMPARE IT TO TDVC!! Thank u.hehe). THE MIRROR is totally rubbish! Haha sorry The Mirror. I guess ‘The Mirror’ haven’t really actually ‘read’ TDVC. TDVC is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than TRM (The righteous Men).

One of the lacking element in TRM is the excitement in the ‘puzzle’ solving. TRM is just like TDVC, there are loads of puzzle to be solve by the main character along the way to find the truth. But in TRM the puzzle is like...hmm.. how should I put this... kinda lame. Not as challenging as TDVC. TDVC’s puzzle is more exciting and you learn alot thru the puzzles. And I love how Dan Brown’s connect the puzzle with history! It made the puzzle so believable and the story seem so TRUE. Instead TRM puzzle is so not connected with any of the Jew’s history or world history in general. Sam Bourne seem to try to make the connection but it is not convincing enough!.

Sam Bourne is definitely not a contender for Dan Brown: the Da Vinci Code was fast paced and unputdownable.

I recommend Dan Brown’s fan not to expect anything from this book. But its good to read. Not bad. The plot is there. You keep wanting to know why the Jews capture Beth and what are the connections between Will and the 36 righteous Men. That is what kept me reading this book.

Ps: after reading two of Sam Bourne's works, I have a feeling that he's a jew. or if not, then he's a jews lover.lol

Huhu I miss Dan Brown’s and J.K Rowling...

What’s next?... what should I read next?!!... any recommendation? Huhu.

I think I’ll try get my hands on one of the twilight saga.

2 weeks so far in ABf

other trainees..mizi, mua, steph & terrence. all in dierent deprtmnt.huhu. I'm the only trainee in electrical dept. I was suppose to be in instrumentation dept (other e&e trainees r there) but somehow the HR staff put me in electrical dept. owh well, Mr Igat is with me. I like Mr Igat! he is my supervisor.

I'm already working in the plant area now. of all the new intake trainees I'm the only one who constantly have to enter the plant site. that is becoz my office is in the plant site.huhu. my office is in the workshop area, where all the electrical & instrumentation engineers are. I pretty much dont have any thing to do. haha. well, Mr Subramaniam, the executive engineer (generation section) already gave me like 3 projects and all I had to do to find the informations i needed for the projects was to read their 'so-freakin-many-files' in the file rack. Basically I have all the informations needed for my reports now so I dunno what to do haha.

Everymorning all the engineers have a meeting with the technician, and last week according to my schedule (prepared by the ever wonderful Mr Igat, thank u :) I was under the generation sect and my supervisor was Mr Nor Azhar (another wonderful person!) and next week he will be on holiday until 8th of june.huhu. Last week Mr Azhar drag me along with him EVERYWHERE! and I mean EVERYWHERE. Even to this Operation & Management meeting in the CCR (central control room) It was fun cause at least I had something to do la haha. I'm gonna miss him next week.huhu WHO'S GOING TO DRAG ME ANYWHERE again then?!! I guess I'll just sit at my desk and do some reading on ENMC (Electrical Network Monitoring and Control...one of my projects). I'm gonna miss Mr Azhar eventho sometimes he was kind of anoying haha (forgive me mr azhar) its just that everytime I joined him for a meeting, even a huge meeting with other engineers, he would like BROADCAST it to EVERYONE that I'm the GM's lilttle sister. okay at first it felt kind of 'nice' but after sometime it felt annoying haha.

One thing I'm really impressed with the electrical dept in ABf is that both the engineers and the technician are really close. if the technicians have some problems in the plant, they can freely tell it to the dept manager (currently the dept manager is Mr Yee Yen fu). and believe me most of the technicians are out spoken. kalau apa nak dicakap ya pedas, pedas lah nya, sik da tapis tapis agik haha.

Another thing is that the dept really take a huge deal on safety during work. Everyweek the dept
would have safety briefing and everyone in the dept must attend the meeting. they even take ATTENDANCE! haha..

Owh I should mention here, everytime a meeting ends we would have small meals provided! yipeeee..haha free food. again and again and again... lol

Day 2.we were given PPE.
